John Frusciante - "The Past Recedes"
We shot this video at John’s house in a single day. He was not psyched on a film crew wandering freely around his house. John insisted that anytime something had to be moved, I must be there to supervise. After the shoot, though completely unrelated to my crew, something caught fire in his kitchen. John took the fire as a sign and swore to never be photographed in his home again. When I sent him a rough cut, he told me that it was his favorite video that he had ever been a part of… So we’re still cool.
